Is premature ejaculation the same as impotence?

Premature ejaculation is the second most prevalent male sexual dysfunction, the first one being erectile dysfunction. Premature ejaculation (PE) is defined as an inability to complete sexual intercourse as a result of climaxing earlier than expected. A majority of men suffer from premature ejaculation at some point in their lives.

Apart from suffering from PE, many men also suffer from lack of boldness in admitting that they have a problem. This makes it difficult to manage PE effectively. The embarrassment involving PE can be overcome if men can view it as a medical condition that is treatable. PE is usually induced by psychological and physical factors. Treatments of the psychological risk factors depend a lot on you and your readiness to get treated. But the physical risk factors require treatments that work mostly on the body.

What is the difference between impotence and premature ejaculation?

Impotence is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection for the completion of satisfactory sexual intercourse. Premature ejaculation is the inability to complete sexual intercourse as a result of climaxing earlier than expected. In impotence, a person might not get an erection at all. In PE, a person gets an erection but is unable to maintain it long enough to let his partner climax. Erectile dysfunction is regarded to be a more severe condition than premature ejaculation.

Community Health

Tenet, which rejected an unsolicited bid in November from Community Health, seeks to force the company to disclose how it admits patients to hospitals for financial rather than clinical purposes, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing today. Tenet filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Dallas.

It introduces uncertainty, said Stephen Antczak, head of U.S. credit strategy at Societe Generale SA in New York. Whether there is more regulatory scrutiny or not, this certainly increases, relative to what it was in the past, the possibility of more.

Swaps on other health care-related companies rose, with contracts on HCA Holdings Inc., which operates hospitals in the U.S. and U.K., gaining 28.5 basis points to 388.5. Those on Universal Health Services Inc. (UHS) jumped 17 basis points to 191, the data show.

Tomi Galin, a spokeswoman for Franklin, Tennessee-based Community Health, didnt immediately return a call seeking comment.

Level 3, Tyco
Contracts on Level 3 Communications Inc. (LVLT) dropped after the unprofitable provider of broadband services agreed to buy Global Crossing Ltd. (GLBC) for about .9 billion to expand its network and reduce expenses. They fell 5.8 percentage points to 4.8 percent upfront, CMA data show.

Are erection problems and ejaculation problems same?

Both erection problems (erectile dysfunction or ED) and ejaculation problems (premature ejaculation) involve the penis – primary sex organ of males. That’s as far as the similarity goes between the two conditions.

Defining erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation

Erectile dysfunction is when a man does not get an erection (primary ED) or cannot maintain an erection (secondary ED) before or during sexual intercourse.

Premature ejaculation, on the other hand, has more to do with orgasm than erection. It is defined as early ejaculation or rapid ejaculation.

Clear your doubts

Premature ejaculation is often confused with erectile dysfunction. These two conditions are entirely different from one another and there is no functional link between them whatsoever. Impotence is when you don’t get an erection in the first place. But ejaculatory problems occur when you do get an erection but release your semen inside your partner’s vagina too early, sometimes in less than 2 minutes after penetration.

Normally it takes longer for women to reach orgasm than men. So your coming early is bound to leave your partner unsatisfied and frustrated as she won’t get a chance to climax with a flaccid penis inside her. Premature ejaculation is common among 30% UK men and it happens because of (1) low levels of serotonin in the brain, and/or (2) psychological factors such as lack of confidence, sexual inexperience, over-enthusiasm to please, low self-esteem and depression or worries.
